Optimising drug treatment for childhood cancer patients

It is particularly difficult to treat some groups of childhood cancer patients, especially infants in their first weeks of life. This application is to fund this rapidly developing research programme for two years, involving the treatment of 150-200.

Developing and understanding new treatments for craniopharyngioma

Craniopharyngioma, a brain tumour affecting children, is difficult to treat. Work within the laboratories of the investigators has identified potential drugs that could turn off tumour growth. These drugs will be tested in patients whose tumours have regrown in a clinical trial.
