Take on the Sahara Desert for CCLG
Experience one of the world’s most extraordinary landscapes on a challenging seven-day trek through the magnificent Sahara Desert.
Starting and finishing in Morocco, you’ll journey into the desert and spend several days trekking across varied terrain, from flat, rocky desert scattered with ancient fossils to sweeping wind-blown sand dunes.
You’ll be accompanied by the experienced team, Discover Adventure, including a trip doctor/medic, local Berber guides and a small caravan of camels. Nights will be spent camping under star-filled skies in the remote desert. With each sunrise, a new day of adventure awaits on this demanding, but unforgettable challenge.
The trek itself includes several full days of walking, with approximately six to seven hours of trekking on the main days. You will finish with a sunrise climb of the Chegaga dunes, Morocco's largest sea of sand dunes, before heading back to Marrakech to celebrate your achievement.

NB. Discover Adventure describes the challenge as suitable for people prepared for full days of physical activity over varied terrain and challenging conditions.
What’s included?
Included: return flights from London to Morocco, accommodation in hotels and camps, group camping equipment including sleeping mats, most meals, Discover Adventure leaders, local guides and cooks, camels and cameleers, drivers and vehicle support. Discover Adventure also offsets the carbon emissions generated by the trip, including flights booked through them.
Not included: Travel insurance, a sleeping bag, personal spending money, drinks, tips and any optional activities aren’t included.
Funding your challenge

- Full payment option
Pay a £249 registration fee, plus £1,150 to Discover Adventure eight weeks before departure. No minimum fundraising target with this option, so anything you raise will directly support CCLG.
2. Part-payment option
Pay a £249 registration fee, plus a £500 contribution towards your trip costs. Commit to raising £1,300 for CCLG.
3. Fundraising option
Pay a £249 registration fee and commit to raising £2,300 for CCLG.
