Create a team and take on the iconic Keswick to Barrow Challenge for CCLG!

The Keswick to Barrow (K2B) Walk is a sponsored 39.5 mile walking and running event. Participants start in Keswick and travel down to the finish line in Barrow, crossing through the stunning Lake District.

You must be part of a team to enter. Teams can be between 4 and 12 members.

No experience is necessary, but training is highly recommended. The K2B is 39.5 miles, and the weather is intensely variable.

An alternative route is the Coniston to Barrow event (half distance) taking place on the same day. This event is 21.1 miles starting in Coniston (the halfway point of the K2B event) and finishes in Barrow.

Register as a member if you haven't done the walk before, and also to create a team if you want to be a team manager.

The Keswick 2 Barrow (K2B) is a team event which started, in 1967, as the result of a Challenge between the Barrow Shipyard and the crew of HMS Resolution. We  added a shorter Coniston 2 Barrow (C2B) walk in 2010 which uses the last 21 miles of the K2B route.

The event uses a bespoke RFID timing system to track you as you walk. Apart from the Start and Finish, there are 8 checkpoints  (last 5 include the C2B)  where fruit and juice is available, there is also a food point, just before Coniston for the K2B participants and also at Lowick Church for the C2B participants.

At the finish, when you check-in, you will receive a print out of your checkpoint times, and 2 vouchers which can be exchanged for Food or Drink (e.g Pie and a Pint - if you are old enough)

Payments and Donations - All walkers commit to pay a £15 (£10 for Under 17) non-refundable and non-transferrable entry processing fee, and to raise target donations of £80 (£40 for Under 17) (excluding Gift Aid).
