The CCLG Multi-Professionals Special Interest Group brings together health professionals from non-nursing or medical backgrounds working in paediatrics and/or Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) cancer services. This includes AHPs, pharmacists, psychology, social work and play, to network, share best practice and undertake activities.
The group is pleased to offer a practical training session designed to support healthcare professionals who are considering submitting work to a scientific conference. The session will be online and provide key guidance, tips and real-world examples on how to write a successful abstract, as well as how to prepare an accompanying poster or oral presentation.
Topics will include:
- How conference abstracts are formatted and assessed
- Essential components of a strong abstract
- Common pitfalls to avoid
- Tips for maximising the chances of abstract acceptance
- Preparing an effective poster or oral presentation based on your submitted abstract
This session is suitable for any healthcare professional who is planning or preparing an abstract for submission to a scientific conference and is a member of the CCLG Multi-Professionals Special Interest Group.
