Networking with colleagues and working collaboratively nationally and internationally is essential for sharing best practice, updating knowledge and conducting research into childhood cancer.
We play an important role in ensuring that childhood cancer is represented at key meetings and events, and supporting external meetings of interest or importance to our members through sponsorship and other support.
We support a number of National Advisory Panels, national groups of professionals who come together to discuss difficult cases or seek expert advice in treating specific types of childhood cancer.
We also organise and support international meetings of experts.
In 2013, CCLG organised the 3rd International Central Nervous System (CNS) Germ Cell Tumour (GCT) Symposium which brought together many internationally recognised experts in one place to learn about the latest developments in these rare tumours and discuss future strategies for their management.
