Teenagers and young adults with cancer have specific needs in cancer research – the types of cancer that young people are diagnosed with are usually different to those in younger children or older adults. Their treatment side effects can be unique, and their support needs can be very different.

We know the priorities in teenage and young adult cancer research – including those that young people with cancer themselves say are the most important areas to focus on. But there is limited dedicated research funding for these priorities, and our Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Research Fund aims to change that.

Funds raised by the CCLG Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Research Fund will be dedicated to addressing the specific research priorities for cancer in this age group, funding pioneering research that will change the future for young people with cancer.
