A children's guide, to help siblings cope after a diagnosis of cancer. This book tells the story of Tom and Jess, whose brother Ben, has cancer, and helps young children to understand what might happen.
Parents and carers are encouraged to read the book with their child so they can answer any questions they might have.
How this resource was made
This booklet was reviewed by Penelope Hart-Spencer (Health Play Specialist, The Christie NHS Trust, Manchester), Sarah Punton (Trainee Clinical Psychologist, Southampton) and Leicestershire children and family support service team (CAFSS), in conjunction with the CCLG Information Advisory Group, comprising parents, survivors and multi-professional experts in the field of children and young people’s cancer. Original booklet written by Katherine Green and illustrated by Simon Pritchard.
