Our very first comedy night, Raise the Roof for CCLG, is coming to the stage on 4 March 2027. But, this is no ordinary comedy night. We’re bringing together amateur comedians from across the construction industry to show off their best material and compete for the biggest laughs of the evening.
Ever fancied yourself as a comedian?
Whether you are inspired by Peter Kay, want to channel the wit of Bill Bailey, or simply fancy stepping outside your comfort zone, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for people from the construction industry to take to the stage and perform a short stand-up set on the night.
Selected participants will receive coaching and training from a professional comedian to help develop their material, build confidence and prepare for the spotlight.

The event will be held at Moonshine, Leicester - a 1920s-inspired speakeasy bar in the city centre and a stone's throw from the train station. So, whether you're looking to entertain clients, connect with industry colleagues, or simply want to support a great cause with plenty of laughs, mark this date in your diary.
