The POTG audit collaborative was founded in 2019 with the aim of running trainee led national audits to help inform and shape clinical practice. Having a network of trainees involved helps answer questions that would take much longer for a single centre to address, or to identify variation in practice.
Audits are undertaken with the support of a consultant member of a CCLG Special Interest Group (SIG) but are very much trainee led.
Recent audits include
- The use of renal tumour biopsy (2020)
- Report shared with Renal SIG and wider CCLG membership
- Oral presentation at SIOP 2021 conference
- Re-audit planned for 2021
- Experience of adding mifamurtide to standard chemotherapy for osteosarcoma (2021)
- Presented at National sarcoma meeting
The POTG collaborative has also helped to support the CCLG Febrile Neutropenia protocol service evaluation (2020-2021)
We are always interested in having new projects. If you have a project idea for want more information about how the collaborative works, please see the Standard Operating Procedure and/or email potgaudit@gmail.com
