There are a number of ways that you can get involved in CCLG and support our work.
Whether you are a parent of a child who has cancer, a survivor of childhood cancer, or have some skills that you would like to offer, here are a few examples of how you can support our work. If you have another idea about how you can help, please get in touch - we'd love to hear from you!
Share your story
We are always pleased to hear from families who would like to share their story in Contact magazine. We know from our readers that hearing about other families' experiences can be a real help and a source of support. If you would like to find out more about writing a story for Contact magazine, please get in touch with Contact's editor, Claire.
Help ensure our information meets the needs of families and patients
Our Publications Committee oversees the production and ongoing review of our range of information booklets for parents, patients and family members. The multiprofessional membership of our committee - doctors, nurses, other professionals involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer, as well as parents and childhood cancer survivors, helps to ensure our booklets meet the needs of parents and patients. We are always pleased to hear from people who would like to join the committee - for more information, please contact us.
If you don't want to join the committee but would like to be involved in reviewing our publications (both new booklets and updates to existing ones) then why not join our Review Panel? Reviewing is completed online, and we'll give you full instructions and support. You can review as many (or as few) booklets as you would like to. If you are interested in joining the panel, please get in touch.
Get involved with our research funding programme
We ensure that the research we fund is of the best quality, and will lead to real advances in the treatment of childhood cancer. All of our research applications are reviewed by a panel of experts (peer review), and as part of this process we are always looking for parents of a child who has had cancer to comment on applications. For more information, please contact Ashley Gamble, our Executive Director.
Help us raise funds to continue our vital work
There are many different ways you can raise funds for CCLG, either as a one-off or on an ongoing basis. Take a look at the 'Support Us' section of our website for more information and ideas!
