Sue Ablett took Baobob bug on a journey to central and northern South America. Lost in transit he missed out on a photo shoot in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica. He made up for it with an appearance on San Josecito Beach, Costa Rica, before sailing to Isla Coiba, a former penal colony and now a national park and World Heritage Site in Panama. His next stop in Panama was a village called La Chunga, in the remote Darien Province. La Chunga is home to the indigenous people, the Embera, who only see foreign visitors about twice a year when they make their way up the Sambu River to the village. Then it was a shot on deck as his ship passed through the Panama Canal. Another day, another country - Cartagena in Colombia, where he posed beside one of the local yellow taxis. Bad weather meant he missed the next destination, but made up for it by a brief visit to Islas Los Roques, a stunning archipelago in Venezuela. Near the end now but pulled in a beach visit to the marine park of Tobago Cays in St Vincent and the Grenadines. What better way to end the trip than a visit to a rum distillery in Barbados?!
