Book now to attend childhood cancer information day

Following on from the success of last year's event, we are pleased to announce the programme details for the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Day to be held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on 14 May 2012.

The day offers a fantastic chance to meet the experts, chat to other families and to find out more about childhood cancer. Anyone who has a personal and professional interest in children's cancer can attend this free event.

The day will cover:

  • Session on brain tumours: advances in neurosurgery, developments in chemotherapy, progress in radiotherapy and proton therapy
  • Session on clinical trials: developing trials, creating a balanced portfolio, parents view
  • Session on aspects of care: sharing complex information with children, shared care hospital, paediatric care beyond the comfort zone

A drinks reception will immediately follow and the day will officially end with the annual Adam Hay Lecture on Paediatric Radiation Oncology.

If you would like to join us, please contact the Royal Society of Medicine.
