Emily Bailes

The Emily Bailes Fund

Emily BailesThe Emily Bailes Fund is named after Emily Bailes, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of five and lost her battle with the disease in March 2008, aged 9.

Emily’s family set up The Emily Bailes Fund to raise money for the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group on July 4, 2008 – which would have been Emily’s 10th birthday.

The fund has raised more than £200,000 for CCLG, including funds raised at ‘Emily’s Big Walk’, a major national event that took place in 2012. Emily's fund is a 'general fund' which supports a variety of our projects, including a number of our publications for patients and families.

In 2016 Emily Bailes would have been celebrating her 18th birthday. In celebration of her memory we are organising 18 events for Emily raising funds for The Emily Bailes Fund at CCLG.
